The Devereaux Library provides a wide array of resources available to its patrons. Resources include electronic, print, and audio visual materials.

Most electronic resources are available to library patrons 24/7. Others are available only at the library and in designated areas throughout the campus. All resources may be accessed off-campus by SDSM&T faculty, staff and students via Virtual Private Networking at SDSM&T (VPN).

Print resources including books, journals, newspapers, government documents, and maps are available at the library. Most may be checked out. Print resources may be located by searching the library's online catalog.

Audio visual materials located at the library include audio books, recorded music, cinema, government documents, microforms, and photographic materials. These materials may be located by searching the library's online catalog.

The Devereaux Library is home to several special collections including the campus archives. Holdings include numerous items related to the historic Black Hills mining industry. These materials may be located by searching the library's online catalog and/or collection finding aids available at the library.
