Ancestry ~ The Ancestry Library Edition collection has
approximately 4,000 databases including key collections such as U.S. Federal
Census images and indexes from 1790 to 1930. An invaluable resource for
genealogists and historians. Provided by the South Dakota State Library.
ASCE Journals ~ The
premier source of technical information for civil engineering. Consists of 30
journals and an online archive with over 28,000 articles published since
1990.
ASME Journals ~ Electronic
editions of the journals of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.
Chemical and Biological Engineering cooperative ~ The SDSM&T
Chemical and Biological Engineering Department has provided funding for online
access to several specialized journals. These are available to all members of
the campus community.
Engineering Village Compendex ~ Compendex is the most
comprehensive interdisciplinary engineering database in the world. Compendex
contains over 9 million records and references over 5,000 international
engineering sources including journal, conference, and trade publications.
Coverage is from 1969 to present and the database is updated weekly.
GeoRefS ~ Provides access to the geoscience literature of the
world. Contains references to geoscience journal articles, books, maps,
conference papers, reports and theses. Includes the GeoRef Thesaurus.
IEEE ASPP ~ The IEEE All-Society Periodicals Package
provides access to the IEEE's core collection of engineering, electronics, and
computer science periodicals.
Knovel ~ Over 800 hand-picked books and databases are available.
Knovel Library combines essential and authoritative reference books and
databases from more than 30 Sci-Tech publishers and professional societies. The
content covers 18 industrially important subject areas in the fields of
chemistry and the life sciences; materials; and engineering.
SciFinder Scholar ~ Quick and easy access to a wide diversity of
research from many scientific disciplines. Includes CAS database with complete
coverage of chemistry and the life sciences including biochemistry, biology,
pharmacology, medicine, and related disciplines.
Scitation ~ Discover more than one million documents from scholarly
journals, magazines, conference proceedings, and other special publications from
prestigious scientific societies and technical publishers.
Web of Knowledge ~ Seamless access to current and retrospective
multidisciplinary information from approximately 8,700 of the most prestigious,
high impact research journals in the world. Web of Knowledge provides a
unique search method, cited reference searching.
WilsonWeb Applied Science & Technology ~ Turn here for fast,
convenient access to the most important sources in applied science and
technology—much of it from peer-reviewed journals. This database features full
text, graphs, charts, diagrams, photos, and illustrations that convey an
abundance of data in scientific and technical articles.
